WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's and women's track and field teams were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic Teams for the 2020 season. The announcement was released by the association on Thursday afternoon.

The Assumption women's track & field team finished the 2019-20 academic year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.48 while the men posted a 3.27 cumulative team GPA.

"I am beyond proud of both the men's and women's programs for earning this honor. They work so hard in competition, in practice, as well as in the classroom, and it is remarkable to have all of that hard work pay off," said head coach Joe Sliwoski.

Overall, there were 114 different Division II programs honored for their academic excellence.
