Worcester, Mass. - Assumption Men's Head Soccer Coach Chris Payne is pleased to release the program's 2019 schedule, which begins with a road contest against Mercy on September 5th.
"We are excited to again be playing a very competitive schedule," said Coach Payne when asked about the schedule. "Along with the very tough NE10 schedule we have 3 top regional non-conference games with Mercy College, Caldwell College and University of Bridgeport."
The Hounds will continue to build off the success of last year's winning season after losing five players to graduation and having their highest ever NE10 tournament seeding at #5. They begin the season with 3 non-conference match ups, first on the road to Mercy College on September 5th and then home to host Coldwell College in the 7th and travelling on the road to Queens on the 14th. The Hounds begin their NE10 schedule on the road at SCSU on the 17th of September.
A road contest against American International on Oct. 1 will kick off the month for the Hounds, followed by contests against Franklin Pierce (10/5), the reigning NE10 champion Adelphi (10/9) and Le Moyne (10/12). The team will have Alumni night on October 19th with the visit of St. Rose to the Multi-Sport Stadium. Assumption rounds out the month of October with two matches against University of Bridgeport (10/23) and the final home match of the season is Oct. 29 against New Haven.
Assumption's final regular season game will be on the road against St. Anselm on Nov. 6 with the NE10 Tournament starting the following week.
