Men's Cross Country Selected Eighth In NE10 Championship Coaches' Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. –  The Assumption College men's cross country team was chosen eighth in the Northeast-10 Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, as voted on by the league's 15 head coaches.

Assumption clinched 124 points in the coach's vote to put them in 8th place. Stonehill College was picked first with 188 points and 8 first-place votes. American International College was picked second (182) with four first-place votes, followed by Southern Connecticut State College (166), Southern New Hampshire University (156) and Merrimack (141).

Sophomores Jon Wahl (Chepachet, R.I. / Ponaganset), and Andrew Lamb (Marshfield, Mass. / Marshfield) will take the lead heading into Sunday's championship, as  both have consistently been two of the team's top runners all season.

Senior Joe Baron (Cobleskill, N.Y. / Cobleskill-Richmondville), sophomore Shawn Scullion (Candiac, Que. / Heritage Regional), and freshmen Nikolas Reygadas (Warwick, R.I. / Toll Gate) have also been among the team's top five runners this season.
