HOW IT HAPPENED:

-When things felt wrapped up, New Haven tied the game at two with just 3:12 left in play. Jenna Peduzzi scored the game-tying goal off her own rebound, burying the ball in the bottom portion of the net. The Hounds had scored two unanswered goals to take an initial 2-1 lead prior to Peduzzi's tally.

-Emily MacDonald (Ludlow, Mass. / The Williston Northampton School) tied the game at one at the 39:21 mark on a pass from Diana Bruggeman (Natick, Mass. / Natick) that snuck into the bottom corner of the net. Brooke Shatney (Weare, N.H. / John Stark Regional) then put the Hounds up 2-1 at the 51:59 mark, finding the back of the net on an assist from Morgan Paquin (Mapleville, R.I. / Lasalle Academy / Sacred Heart).

-New Haven had thought they scored the game-winner during the first overtime, putting the ball into the back of the net during an offensive drive. The play was reversed however and turned into a goal kick for Assumption.
