Worcester, Mass. - Assumption Women's Head Soccer Coach Grace Barnard is pleased to release the program's 2019 schedule, which begins with a home match against Bloomfield College.
"We are excited to once again play a very competitive schedule," said Barnard when asked about the schedule. "We look forward to welcoming one of the nation's top teams to our home stadium and can't wait to get the season started!"
The Hounds will continue to build off the success of last year after losing five players to graduation and reaching the 2018 NE10 Finals for the first time in five years. They begin the season with a three-game home stand facing off against Bloomfield, American International and Southern Connecticut State, on Sept. 5, Sept. 13, and Sept. 24 respectively. The Hounds round out the month of September with matchup against Pace on Sept. 28.
A road contest against Bentley on Oct. 2 will kick off the month for the Hounds, followed by contests against St. Anselm's (10/5), Le Moyne (10/8) and St. Rose (10/12). The Hounds welcome reigning Division II National Champions University of Bridgeport to the Multi-Sport Stadium on Oct. 17 with a schedule 7pm kick-off. Assumption rounds out the month of October with two road matches against Saint Michael's (10/26) and New Haven (10/30),
Assumption's final regular season game will be Nov. 5 against Franklin Pierce with the NE10 Tournament starting the following week.
