Johnna Caporuscio Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Johnna Caporuscio (Wayne, New Jersey / Wayne Hills) was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District I Team, selected by CoSIDA, for her excellence on the field and in the classroom. The announcement came on Thursday, November 9.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence on the field and in the classroom. Each individual who receives All-District honors will advance to the All-America ballot. Caporuscio was just one of six NE10 student-athletes named to the Academic All-District Team.

Caporuscio appeared in all 20 games this year, starting 16 of those games. She finished the season with three goals and three assists for nine total points, while helping her team reach the NE10 Women's Soccer Championship as the No. 6 seed. Caporuscio also earned the NE10 Women's Soccer Elite 24 Award for having the highest GPA of anyone participating in the NE10 Women's Soccer Championship. Caporuscio is majoring in Criminology and Psychology, with a minor in Italian, while boasting a 3.97 GPA.

The Assumption Women's Soccer team concludes its season with an 11-7-2 overall record, reaching the NE10 Tournament for the second straight year and first NE10 Championship since 2014.
