Worcester, Mass. - The Assumption College women's rowing team started the 2019-2020 season with a strong performance at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta in Hartford, Conn. on Sunday.
Both Varsity 8 boats faced strong competition, including division I University of Connecticut, Tufts, Holy Cross, the University of Rhode Island, and the University of Massachusetts. The first Varsity 8 finished in 19th place/25 in a time of 18:16.83. The second Varsity 8 crossed the finish line in 20:48.91 for 25th place.
The Novice 4 boat brought home the silver medal as they found a great rhythm throughout the race (23:31.11).
