Reilly and Cushing Selected for IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

WORCESTER, Mass.- Senior captains Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield-Warde) and Meghan Cushing (Gorham, Maine/Gorham) were selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to compete in the Division II Senior All-Star Game held at Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.  

The IWLCA selected Reilly and Cushing along with 20 other participants for the Division II North Team. The NE10 boasts a total of eleven players on the North Team that will be coached by Ginny Martino of West Chester University. This marks the second straight season Assumption has had at least one participant, as Morgan Cushing '18 was selected to play last year. 

This season, both Cushing and Reilly started all 19 games for the Hounds while leading the team to its first NE10 Semifinals appearance since 2005. Cushing is the first four-time captain in school history while earning Second-Team IWLCA All-Region and All-Conference honors. She posted 20 points with 41 ground balls and 42 draw controls. She also holds school records for career games (71), career ground balls (180) and caused turnovers with 75. Reilly earned IWLCA First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-Conference honors this year after totalling a school-record 99 points with 94 draw controls. She holds multiple school records, including goals in a season (73), career assists (82), points in a season (99), career points (273).
