Sarah Reilly Named NE10 Player of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – With a top-five NE10 Tournament seed on the line, senior Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn.) scored nearly half her team's goal in a 2-0 week to secure NE10 Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Reilly scored tallied 13 goals and three assists, while scoring on 68 percent of her shot attempts during the final week of the regular season to help Assumption earn its best conference record in program history. The senior had six goals and one assist with three draws in a 15-11 win over Southern Connecticut. Reilly then came through with seven goals and one assist with three draw controls to lead the Hounds over No. 21 Merrimack 14-13.

During the course of the week she established a new program single-season scoring record with 91 points and also set the all-time scoring record at Assumption with 265 points. This is the second time this season she has earned NE10 Player of the Week honors. Junior Emily Spath (Franklin, Mass.) and freshman Allie Collins (Natick, Mass.) were both named to the weekly honor roll. 

Reilly and Assumption will play at No. 4 seed Bentley in the NE10 Quarterfinals on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
