Women’s Lacrosse Ranked 17th in IWLCA Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a 1-1 week, women's lacrosse is currently ranked 17th most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches Poll and 19th in the latest Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

Assumption didn't move in the IWLCA Poll with 212 points is just one spot and three points behind New Haven (215), who the Hounds beat two weeks ago. Le Moyne remains the top ranked team in the nation, accumulating all 25 first place votes. Adelphi moved up to second, while Merrimack (18), Bentley (19) and Pace (20) are all in the top 20.

In the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll, the Hounds dropped two spots to 19th. Le Moyne was first, followed by Adelphi (4), Bentley (13) and New Haven (20).

Assumption opened the week with a tough 16-5 loss to top ranked Le Moyne. The team rebounded to take down Southern New Hampshire 22-19 behind 11 points from Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde) and eight goals from Kailyn Hart (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker).
