Women’s Lacrosse Drops to 20th in IWLCA National Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a 1-2 week, women's lacrosse has dropped one spot to 20th in the most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches Poll, while also moving down to 17th in the latest Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

Assumption fell to a pair of ranked teams last week, in 19th ranked Bentley and No. 2 Adelphi, but finished the week with an impressive 21-20 ovetime win at Molloy. Defending National Champion Le Moyne earned all 25 first place votes and sits atop the IWLCA Rankings, followed by the Panthers (2). Pace dropped to 15th while New Haven (16) Merrimack (18) and Bentley (19) are all ahead of the Hounds. Stonehill is currently receiving votes.

In the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll, Assumption moved from ninth to 17th. Le Moyne and Adelphi sit first and second while Bentley (16), New Haven (18) and Stonehill (19) are also ranked in the poll.
