IWLCA Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – Following an impressive year, the women's lacrosse program has been picked 25th in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Poll of the season.

Assumption concluded the season ranked in each of the final nine IWLCA Polls, after achieving their first national ranking in program history earlier in the year. The Hounds finished with 34 points overall and were one of seven teams from the conference who finished the year ranked. National Champion Le Moyne took the top spot, followed by Adelphi (3), Pace (14), Merrimack (16), New Haven (20) and Bentley (22).

This year Assumption went 9-8 overall and reached the NE10 Quarterfinals for the third time in the last four seasons. The team's season came to an end against No. 3 Adelphi, as the Hounds held a lead for much of the first half before the Panthers pulled away for good in the second. Following the season, junior Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde) earned NE10 Second-Team All-Conference honors while freshmen Allison Foley (Walpole, Mass. / Walpole) and Grace McDermott (Franklin, Mass. / Franklin) were both named to the All-Rookie Team.
