- The teams traded baskets over the first three minutes of the third, with a jumper by Meghan Cramb (New Boston, N.H. / Bishop Guertin) providing a 31-30 lead. That basket started a 9-0 run over the next 6:30 to put the Hounds in front 39-30 and they finished the period with a 39-32 lead.

- Stonehill scored the first six points of the fourth to close the gap to just 39-38 at 7:23. Nearly a minute later, Brianna Capacchione (Washington Township, N.J. / Washington Township) swished home a triple for the four-point lead and Morgan O'Donnell (Easton, Mass. / Ursuline Academy) added a basket for the six-point advantage midway through the period. The Skyhawks cut it to 44-42 with 4:36 left, but six straight by the Hounds gave them a 50-42 advantage with just 1:30 left. The defense did the rest as they held on for the six-point victory.
