Men’s Track & Field Competes at NEICAAA Championships

THE BASICS:

- Event: NEICAAA Outdoor Championships
- Location: New Haven Conn.

- The Lead: Assumption men's track & field has some strong performances at the NEICAAA Championships on Saturday to conclude the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Sophomore Cameron Donoghue (Yarmouth Port, Mass. / Barnstable) totaled 6224 points in the decathlon to place fifth overall. He took second in the discus on Saturday with a throw of 34.9 meters and then finished fourth in the 1500 meters to conclude the event.

- After qualifying for the 400 meter finals on Friday, sophomore Everett Pirtle (Northborough, Mass. / Algonquin) used a time of 48.44 seconds to place fifth overall in the event on Saturday.

- Junior Max Michaud (Northboro, Mass. / Algonquin) placed ninth overall in the 800 meters with his time of 1:53.29. He was just .03 seconds out of eighth place.  

- In the shot put, freshman Kristopher Selanis (Athol, Mass. / Athol) placed 15th overall with a throw of 14.59 meters.
