Men’s Track & Field Has Solid Showing at NEICAAA Championships

THE BASICS:

- Event: NEICAAA Outdoor Championships
- Location: New Haven Conn.

- The Lead: Assumption men's track & field has a few strong performances on the opening day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Sophomore Cameron Donoghue (Yarmouth Port, Mass. / Barnstable) totaled 3322 points through the first five events of the decathlon, while junior Kevin Hack (Uxbridge, Mass. / Nipmuc Regional) put together 3278 points, including a second place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.96 meters.

- Sophomore Everett Pirtle (Northborough, Mass. / Algonquin) qualified for the finals of the 400 meters, by taking fifth in the prelims with a time of 48.73.

- Senior John Plisko (Moosic, Pa. / Riverside) finished 11th in the javelin with a throw of 56.03 meters.
