Men’s Track & Field Has Five USTFCCCA All-Region Selections

WORCESTER, Mass. – Following the a fifth place finish at the NE10 Championships and the highest point total in program history, the men's track and field program had five U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region selections, as announced by the organization earlier this week.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their event in their respective region. To view the complete list, click here. Junior Kevin Hack (Uxbridge, Mass. / Nipmuc Regional) earned All-Region honors in both the high jump and the heptathlon, while Cameron Donoghue (Yarmouth Port, Mass. / Barnstable), Max Michaud (Northboro, Mass. / Algonquin) and Joseph Santos (Warwick, R.I. / Bishop Hendricken) were the program's other selections.

Hack concluded the indoor season with the highest high jump mark in the region at 2.07 meters and the 22nd best mark in the nation. He also posted the second-best heptathlon score in the East with his total of 4683 points at the NE10 Championships, which was good enough for a second place finish.

Donoghue ranked fourth in the region with his total of 4663 points at the NEICAAA Championships earlier this season. Michaud broke his own school record in the 800 meters last weekend and his time of 1:51.94 was good enough for fourth in the region. Santos, meanwhile, was named All-Region in the 60-meter hurdles with his school-record time of 8.42 seconds.

Assumption begins its spring season on March 8 when the team competes at Coastal Carolina Invitational.
