WORCESTER, Mass. - Rising sophomore of the Assumption University women's swiming and diving team, Erin Tague (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. / Palm Beach Gardens) was named a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American for her performance in the pool and in the classroom this year. To earn First Team honors students must achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and be invited to compete at their respective national championship. Second Team selections must also earn at least a 3.5 GPA and achieve a "B" time standard or compete at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.
Tague earned CSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team honors following a stellar rookie season. She became the sixth Greyhound in the last eight years to secure NE10 Rookie of the Year honors and claimed Rookie of the Week honors three times during the season. Tague set a new school record and conference record at the NE10 Championships. She won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:22.82) in a new NE10 record time and set a new Assumption record while also placing fourth in both the 500 free (5:05.87) and 200 free (1:54.41). She was a part of the 400 free relay which set a new NE10 and Assumption record and was a contributor in the 800 free relay that took third at the Championships.
The CSCAA named a total of 1,479 swimmers and divers to Scholar All-American Teams for the 2019-20 season. Selections were drawn from 209 colleges and universities. In total, 282 teams placed at least one individual on the First or Second teams.
