Men's Tennis Brings Home Four Wins at Stonehill Doubles Invitational

THE BASICS:

-Event: Stonehill Doubles Invitational

- Location: Easton, Mass. (Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex)

- The Lead: The Assumption College men's tennis team had four wins at the Stonehill Doubles Invitational that took place on Saturday, September 7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Brandon Sze (South Windsor, Conn. / South Windsor) and Jameson Keppeler (Syracuse, N.Y. / CBA Syracuse) had the first win of the day for the Greyhounds, defeating Colby-Sawyer's Cam Lynch and Mike White 6-4.

-Brady Ryan (Lynn, Mass. / St. Mary's) and Ethan Hall (Duxbury, Mass. / Duxbury) then defeated Colby-Sawyer's Khameron Savatdy and Griffin Forberg 6-3 as part of the B-Doubles. The duo then defeated Eastern Nazarene's Mecena Salles and Sven Grunenwald 6-3.

-In C-Doubles action, Michael Butkus (Worcester, Mass. / South High) and Luke Whitehouse (Hopkinton, Mass. / Hopkinton) took down Colby-Sawyer's Erik Antonacci and Will Madden 6-3 as the team's final win of the day.

UP NEXT:

- Assumption returns to action next weekend for the ITA Regionals at Flushing N.Y. for a weekend tournament beginning on Friday, September 13.
