NE10 All-Conference: Jimenez Wins Goalkeeper of the Year and More

WORCESTER, Mass. – After an impressive regular season and with his team set to face American Int'l in the Northeast-10 Championship Semifinals, Sebastian Jimenez (Naples, Fla. / Gulf Coast High School) has earned NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year Honors, announced by the conference today.

The sophomore has had an impressive year to date, going 10-7-0 with six shutouts, a 1.56 goals against average and .766 save percentage. He helped his team win six straight games this season, setting a new program high. He is now tied for fourth-place in program history in career wins and is tied for first in wins in one season. He is tied for second in most shutouts in one season as well. Throughout the season, Jimenez earned NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week Honors three times.

Jimenez also earned NE10 First-Team All-Conference Honors with the award, joining Jason Lages (Edgartown, Mass. / Martha's Vineyard Regional) and Nicolas Cardona (San Juan, P.R. / Academia del Perpetuo Socorro / DePaul)Juan O'Neill (Guaynabo, P.R. / Colegio San Ignacio) joins the group earning Third-Team All-Conference Honors.

Lages scored 10 goals and three assists in 14 games this season, leading the team in goals and assists. He went a span of six games tallying at least one point and then went a span of October 29 through November 6 totaling four goals and one assist in three games. Cardona was a valuable member of the team's defensive unit that held opponents to just 1.53 goals per game. He also scored two goals and one assist, netting the game-winner against Southern N.H. on September 25. He also netted a goal in his team's playoff game against Le Moyne on November 9.

O'Neill has played a role in all facets of the game as a midfielder this season. In 17 games, he netted one goal and three assists, scoring the game-winner in a shutout win over Saint Rose on October 19. He added assists against Caldwell, Southern N.H. and nationally-ranked Adelphi.

The Hounds will host American Int'l on Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. in the NE10 Championship Semifinals.
