THE BASICS:
-Score: Saint Rose 3, Assumption 2 (2OT)
-Records: Saint Rose (7-4-1, 4-4-1 NE10), Assumption (6-5-1, 4-4-1 NE10)

-The Lead: Paulo Sdoia sent a liner into the back of the net to send the Saint Rose Golden Knights past the Assumption Greyhounds, 3-2, in double overtime.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Sdoia gained possession of the ball and dribbled to the front of the net. He sent a liner toward the goal, which found the top right corner for the game-winning kick. Sdoia's goal came within the 108th minute and during double overtime.
-The Golden Knights tied the game at two at the 84:50 mark. Jaakko Terasranta deflected a low cross from Sdoia into the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
-Prior to Terasranta's goal Jason Lages (Edgartown, Mass. / Martha's Vineyard Regional) scored two unanswered goals for the Hounds. He first scored from 30-yards out on a free kick. He then scored from 12-yards out after making his way through two defenders to put the Hounds up 2-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
-Saint Rose held a 19-14 shot advantage, including a 5-3 advantage in both overtimes. However, Assumption edged the Golden Knights in corner kicks, 4-1. Lages led the team with six shots.
-Lages now has six goals on the year and has scored in four out if his six starts. He has at least one point in five of those starts.
-Sebastian Jimenez (Naples, Fla. / Gulf Coast High School) made five saves for the Hounds but fell to 6-5-1 on the year. Gianni Carillo made five saves for the Golden Knights and improved to 7-4-1 on the year.
