THE BASICS:
-Score: American International 4, Assumption 3 (2OT)

-The Lead: Steven Hernandez turned a corner kick into the game-winning goal in double overtime to send American International past the Assumption Greyhounds, 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-At the 108:37 mark, Jeremy Fricker sent a corner kick into the middle of the field. Hernandez then got a foot on the ball and sent it into the back of the net to send the Yellow Jackets home with the 4-3 win in double overtime.
-The Hounds tied the game at three when Jason Lages (Edgartown, Mass. / Martha's Vineyard) scored at the 78:21 mark on a penalty kick.
-Josip Validzic put the Yellow Jackets up by one at the 69:51 mark when he headed a cross pass from Felipe Novelini into the back of the net. The Hounds previously tied the game at two thanks to two unanswered goals from Kevin Hernandez (San Juan, P.R. / Colegio San Jose).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
-American International held a 20-18 advantage in shots but the Hounds held a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks. Lages had a team-high eight shots for the Hounds.
-It was Hernandez's first multi-goal game of his collegiate career. He scored two goals during the 2017-18 season and now has two goals on the 2018-19 season.
-Lages has scored twice on penalty kicks this season. He leads the team with four goals and has at least one point in four out of five starts.
-Sebastian Jimenez (Naples, Fla. / Gulf Coast High School) made five saves for the Hounds but fell to 6-4-1 on the year. Nicholas Rome made five saves for the Yellow Jackets and improves to 1-2-1 on the year.
