THE BASICS:

-Score: Southern N.H. 1, Assumption 0

-Records: Southern N.H. (7-0-0, 3-0-0 NE10), Assumption (4-2-0, 2-1-0 NE10)

-Location: Hookset, N.H. (Penmen Stadium)

-The Lead: A first-half goal by Nadjib Chibout proved the difference as No. 20 Southern N.H. defeated Assumption 1-0. Chibout's goal came after the Penmen knocked two shots against the post.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Chibout scored at the 12:15 mark after two straight shots by the Penmen went off the post. Chibout took the shot from the left side of the field and buried the shot that proved to be the game-winner.

-The Hounds pressured late, as Brian Flynn (Oakdale, N.Y. / Saint Anthony's) put a shot on net at the 78:49 mark. They then found the open player on the right side of the field at the 89:19 mark but were called offside.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-Southern N.H. held a 21-7 shot advantage. They also held an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.

-Assumption goalkeeper Sebastian Jimenez (Naples, Fla. / Gulf Coast High School) made eight saves, while the team fended off four late attempts by the Penmen. Jimenez now has a .930 save percentage and 0.49 goals against average. He fell to 4-2-0 with the loss.

-Penmen goalkeeper Daniel Milton made two saves and improved to 7-0-0 on the year.
