THE BASICS:

-The Lead: Freshman Ruben Faria (Fall River, Mass. / Bishop Connolly High) scored on a shot from about 10 yards out within the final minute of play to lift the Hounds past Bentley, 2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Faria gathered in a loose ball from about 10 yards out and launched a shot from dead center field at the 89:40 mark as the game's winning goal, putting the Hounds up 2-1.
-The Falcons tied the game at one at the 63:38 mark when a deflected shot from Bentley's Nick Halliday went off the Assumption defender and into the net to tie the game at one.
-Freshman Connor Willis (North Andover, Mass. / North Andover) put Assumption up 1-0 at the 35:53 mark when he took a loose ball from the right side, worked his way one-on-one with Bentley goalie David Price, and launched a shot into the top left corner of the net.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
-Bentley held an 18-14 shot advantage, outshooting Assumption 10-7 in the first half and 8-7 in the second half. Bentley also held the advantage in corner kicks, producing five to Assumption's two.
-Faria's goal was the first of his career. Faria netted an assist in the team's season opener, a 1-0 win against Post.
-Willis netted his second goal of the season, scoring his first career goal in the team's season opener.
-Sebastian Jimenez (Naples, Fla. / Gulf Coast High School) made six saves and improved to 3-1-0 on the year. Price made six saves as well but fell to 2-1-1 on the year.
