Hounds Come Up Short Against SCSU in Road Finale

New Haven, Conn. (October 25) -- The Assumption Greyhounds men's soccer team fell to Southern Connecticut State University on Tuesday evening, 3-1.

The Hounds fell to 2-10-1 overall and 2-9-1 in the Northeast-10 while Southern Connecticut improved to 7-7-1 and 6-5-1 in the conference.

The Hounds fell behind in the second minute on an own goal. In the 24th minute, the Hounds equalized on a goal by Troy Lamagna (South Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury), assisted by Guga Pereira (West Yarmouth, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth). The score held at one each until halftime.

However, SCSU scored two unanswered second half goals, for the 3-1 final edge.

The Hounds hit the field next for senior night on Friday, October 28th. The Hounds will play host to Saint Michael's College at the Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass.
