Rindge, N.H. (October 22) -- The Assumption men's soccer team fell to the No. 2 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce men's soccer team, 1-0, on Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first half, Franklin Pierce notched a goal in the 47th minute, when Trent Roy found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
Assumption goalie Matt Wrenn (Windham, N.H./Tilton School) made three saves and allowed the one goal in the loss.
The Hounds fall to 2-9-1 overall and 2-8-1 in the conference, while Franklin Pierce improves to 14-0-1 overall and 10-0-1 in the conference.
The Hounds hit the field next when the team travels to Southern Connecticut State University on October 25th. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
