Three Earn Academic All-New England Honors from Men's Lacrosse

WORCESTER, Mass. – The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) has named Assumption men's lacrosse seniors Dan Farrell (Norwood, Mass. / Norwood), Connor Reid (Raynham, Mass. Bridgewater Raynham) and Travis Reid (Raynham, Mass. / Bridgewater Raynham) to the 2019 Division II Academic All-New England team. The organization made the announcement on Wednesday, May 29.

The three seniors earned the recognition for their excellence both in the classroom and throughout their career. Nominees, which are decided by coaches in all three divisions, must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and must have contributed significantly throughout their lacrosse career. Only seniors can earn nominations as well.

Farrell contributed 28 goals and 32 assists in 15 games this season and caused 14 turnovers. He ranks second in career points in Assumption history as well as second in career assists and third in career goals. Connor Reid won 162 out of 360 face-offs (45%) and had 76 ground balls in 15 games. Travis Reid produced 40 goals and 31 assists for 71 points while causing 13 turnovers in 15 games this season. He holds the all-time record in career points, career goals and career assists.

One hundred and twenty-eight seniors earned Academic All-New England honors throughout all three divisions this season. Six different schools had at least one honoree at the Division II level.
