Men's Lacrosse Ranked 19th in USILA National Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – After a 1-1 week the Hounds dropped two spots to 19th in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll (USILA) National Poll while also taking the No. 19 spot in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

The Hounds dropped two spots into 19th with 35 points, while Adelphi fell from the top spot and moved into a tie for the third spot with Le Moyne with 306 points. Merrimack moved up to second with 317 points while Pace fell to 11th with 157 points. Bentley moved into the national rankings at No. 17. In the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll, Merrimack is second followed by Le Moyne (3) and Adelphi (4).

Assumption took a tough 11-8 loss to Bentley while in net, senior Colby Hamwey (West Yarmouth, Mass. / Wilbraham & Monson) stopped 17 shots. The Hounds bounced back with a 12-6 win over Saint Rose where Dan Farrell (Norwood, Mass./Norwood) and Owen Peterson III (Westchester, N.Y./Westlake High School) scored three goals apiece and Hamwey recorded 11 saves and only allowed six goals.
