Men’s Lacrosse Ranked 19th in Latest USILA National Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – After a tough 1-1 week for Assumption, the Hounds dropped to 19th in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll (USILA) National Poll while taking the No. 18 spot in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

The Hounds dropped two spots to 19th after a tough loss to Le Moyne, followed by a win over Southern New Hampshire. Adelphi retained its spot atop the rankings with 357 points, while Merrimack is close by in fourth with 297 points. Le Moyne (6) and Pace (7) both are in the top-ten again, with Saint Anselm earned the No. 20 ranking for a second straight week. In the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll, Adelphi is No. 1, followed by Merrimack (4), Pace (6) and Le Moyne (8), while Assumption rounds out the five NE10 teams in the top 20.

Assumption fell to the Dolphins 12-5 but rebounded to take down Southern New Hampshire 16-7. Owen Peterson III (Westchester, N.Y. / Westlake) scored a career-high seven goals while Colby Hamwey (West Yarmouth, Mass. / Wilbraham & Monson) made 17 saves in net to preserve the win.
