WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a pair of victories last week, men's lacrosse sits at 19th in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll (USILA) National Poll as well at No. 19 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

This marks the second straight week at 19 for Assumption in the USILA Poll, though they increased their point total from 41 to 43 points. The NE10 once again dominated the top of the poll, led by Adelphi who took the top spot with 375 points and 14 first place votes. Le Moyne is fourth with 317 points while Merrimack and Pace are tied for sixth with 276 points. Saint Anselm is currently receiving votes.

The Hounds enter the Nike/US Lacrosse Rankings for the first time this year at No. 19. Adelphi (1), Le Moyne (4), Pace (5) and Merrimack (7) are all in the top-ten while Saint Anselm is 18th and the Hounds are one spot behind the Hawks.

Assumption went 2-0 last week, dispatching Post 22-6 and then taking down Saint Michael's 16-11 on Saturday for the team's first conference victory. The Hounds are 4-2 overall and rank fifth in the NE10 in in scoring at 17 goals per game and are fifth in goals allowed per game at 9.5. Senior Travis Reid (Raynham, Mass. / Bridgewater /Raynham) is currently  second in the nation in points (8.17) and assists per game (3.71) while ranking third in goals per game (5.0) and shot percentage (.652).

The team looks to win its third straight when Assumption squares off against AIC at home on Saturday 1 p.m.
