Men's Golf Announces 2019-20 Captains

Worcester, Mass. – Head Men's Golf Coach John O'Hara is pleased to announce his captains for the 2019-20 year. Rising seniors Mark Bryant (Hardwick, N.J. / North Warren Regional) and Zach Magarian (Worcester, M.A., West Boylston)  will be serving as captains for the upcoming year. 

"Mark and Zach possess the characteristics of great leaders; theyare focused, passionate, and provide valuable guidance to our entire team," said O'hara when asked about his captains.  "I am proud of the strong young men they have become and look forward to another succesful year on and off the course. mark and Zach are instrumental to our success." 

Bryant played in all 21 rounds for Assumption and averaged 75.42 strokes per round. He shot a 69 at the Penmen Fall Invitational at Hanover Country Club in Hanover, New Hampshire, which ties him for lowest round by an Assumption golfer ever. Bryant tied for 6th overall at the NCAA DII East/Atlantic Regional, the highest finish at an East regional for an Assumption golfer. 

Magarian played in 19 rounds for Assumption during the year and averaged 79.73 strokes per round. He Shot a 70 in the second round at the NCAA DII East/Atlantic Regional at Totteridge Golf Course in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.  In his best outing of the year, Magarian tied for 12th at the NE10 Conference Championships at the En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, New York.
