WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Allison Sheahan (Higganum, Conn./ Haddam-Killingworth) was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All- America First Team and the Synapse Sports All-America First Team after a record breaking campaign in the 2017-18 season.  

This is the second consecutive year Sheahan has been recognized as an All-American. Sheahan led the Hound offense with 31 points on 11 goals, including three game-winners, and nine assists. Along with her impressive stat line, Sheahan broke the program's all-time goals record with 36 in her career. Throughout the season she recieved numerous accolades, including NE10 Player of the Week, National Offensive Player of the Week honors, NE10 First Team All-Conference honors, and an invite to the NFHCA Senior All-Star game.

Sheahan scored two goals in the NE10 Quarterfianls to upset Pace 2-1 in overtime to advance to the semifinals against Stonehill where she then assisted on the game-winning goal to secure the second upset. She was named to the All-Tournament team as the Hounds made it to the first NE10 Championship game for the second time in three years.
