Sheahan, Primack, and Quinlan Earn NE10 Recognition

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Allison Sheahan (Higganum, Conn. / Haddam-Killingworth) along with freshmen Isabel Primack (Ipswich, Mass./ Ipswich) and Shannon Quinlan (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville North) were all honored by the NE10 for their contributions to the Assumption field hockey program during the 2017 season, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.  

NE10 All-Conference Release

Sheahan has had a career-best season this year scoring eleven goals and tallying nine assists for 31 points, including three game-winning goals. Just yesterday, Sheahan lifted the Hounds to a 2-1 overtime victory over Pace in the NE10 quarterfinal game, and broke the all-time scoring record. She was named NE10 Player of the Week and NFHCA Player of the Week once this season after recording eight points in a week after scoring a game-winning overtime goal against No. 4 LIU Post. 

Primack earned NE10 Rookie of the Week honors in the first week of the season. The midfielder played in 14 games for the Hounds and recorded three goals and five assists to combine for 11 points. Quinlan, a forward, is second on the team in points with 18 after scoring seven goals and dishing off four assists. She is also second in the team for game-winning goals with two. 

After upsetting Pace 2-1 in overtime on Tueday, Assumption will travel to face Stonehill in the NE10 Semifinals on Friday at 6 pm.
