WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Deonte Harris (Middle River, Md. / Archbishop Curley) has been named a Second-Team All-American as all-purpose player by the American Football Coaches Association, as announced by the AFCA on Wednesday morning.

Harris earned Second-Team honors following a First-Team selection in 2017. He is one of four players to earn a repeat selection. He is one of two AFCA All-Americans in school history, joining Cole Tracy who was honored last year. Harris was also the only NE10 student-athlete to be honored by the AFCA.

This season, the wide receiver led the NE10 in kickoff (29.5) and punt (19.0) return average, while returning a pair of kicks for touchdowns, though teams actively kicked away from him. Harris was also active on offense, leading the team with 41 catches for 751 yards and eight touchdowns. He concluded his Assumption career as the all-time NCAA leader in return touchdowns with 14. Harris also is Assumption's all-time leader in touchdowns (45) and all-purpose yards (6,173), while ranking third in reception (226) and receiving yards (2,897).
