HOW IT HAPPENED: GAME ONE

- Senior Kyle Chudoba (Oxford, Conn. / Oxford) started on the mound for the Hounds in game one and pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering 10 runs (six earned), before freshman James Cappello (Marlborough, Mass. / Assabet Valley Regional Technical) came on in relief and tossed 2.1 innings, allowing one unearned run and striking out three.

- Le Moyne put the Hounds in an early hole, scoring four runs in the first inning as the Dolphins used a pair of walks and a pair of hits to do their damage. They piled on seven more runs in the sixth to leap out to an 11-0 lead before the Hounds responded with two in the bottom half of the inning.

- Junior Trevor McQuade (Westwood, Mass. / Xaverian) led off with a double to center field and senior Andrew Jaehnig (Quincy, Mass. / Boston College) ripped a double of his own to bring McQuade home for the Hounds first run of the game. After senior Quinn Moynihan (Worcester, Mass. / Lipscomb University) singled, classmate Jake Byrne (Grafton, Mass. / Saint John's) knocked a base hit to left field, scoring Jaehnig.

- Le Moyne pieced together four more runs in the ninth to take a 15-2 lead. McQuade connected on his first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the bottom of ninth to end the scoring at 15-4.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: GAME ONE

- McQuade finished 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored.

- Jaehnig went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run, while Moynihan also went 2-for-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED: GAME TWO

- Assumption went pitcher by committee in game two, as sophomore Kyle Autilio (Saugus, Mass. / Saugus) started and pitched 3.0 shutout innings, before freshman James McNamara (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy) tossed the next 2.0 innings, allowing three runs (one earned). Junior Colton King (Westerly, R.I. / Moses Brown Prep) took the mounds for the 6th through the 8th inning and left unscathed as freshman Brendan Desautels (Holden, Mass. / Holy Name Central Catholic) came on for the save in the ninth with the Hounds leading 6-3. Three unearned runs later and the score was tied at six, ending in a tie due to darkness.

- Assumption put a three spot up in the third, when sophomore Jared Brescia (Brentwood, N.H. / Exeter) and sophomore Derek Adamson (Chelmsford, Mass. / Chelmsford) each tallied a base knock. They both advanced to scoring position on a wild pitch and Jaehnig reached on an error by the second baseman, scoring Brescia. After Moynihan walked to load the bases, Tralli and junior Kevin Quinlivan (Shrewsbury, Mass. / St. John's) drew two out walks to force two more runs across home plate.

- Le Moyne tied the game by scoring once in the fourth and twice in the fifth, but the Hounds regained their three run lead by scoring three more in the seventh to make it 6-3. Both Quinlivan and Adamson recorded RBI doubles in the inning, with Adamson's being a two RBI double.

- With two outs in the top of the ninth and the Hounds leading 6-3, Le Moyne put the leadoff man on base. Desautels was able to get the next two outs with the runner reaching third base. After walking a batter to put men on the corners, two infield groundballs turned into errors as three runs crossed the plate to tie the game at six runs apiece.
