Assumption returns south just a week later for the team's Spring Break trip that will feature eight games, including six against regional competition as part of Baseball Week at Rollins College. After the 18-game swing to begin the season, the Hounds kick off the conference schedule at New Haven on Saturday, March 24th for an NE10 doubleheader vs. the University of New Haven Chargers beginning at Noon at Frank Vieira Field.

"I believe as a program we are extremely excited about this upcoming season." Said head baseball coach Mike Rocco. "We are fortunate enough to have a good balance of returning, experienced players, as well as a talented mixture of underclassmen and transfers. We play a very challenging schedule and I am looking forward to seeing how the team carries momentum over after a successful fall season."

Overall, Assumption is scheduled for 15 home games and 49 games overall as the team is under the direction of fifth-year head coach Mike Rocco. In 2017, the Hounds posted a 17-25 overall record to go with a 10-17 record in the NE10. The team also placed a pair of players on the NE10 All-Conference squad, while senior Andrew Jaehnig (Quincy, Mass. / Boston College) became the 11th player in Assumption baseball history to be named All-American.
