Assumption College Esports

About the Program:

Centered around an on-campus community gaming space, with an emphasis on student engagement and content development, Assumption College esports will provide the signature esports experience for competitive and casual players alike.

Blue and White esports will be pursuing League of Legends, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in Fall of 2019. We are creating a brand-new League of Legends 5-player squad from both new recruits and players already on campus to compete in some of the country’s best leagues.

Rocket League and Smash Ultimate will exist as the solo player offerings within the Blue and White esports program.

New games will be added in 2020 and beyond as the program grows. Questions about the esports program can be sent to Head Coach John Cordero at jp.cordero@assumption.edu. Fill out a recruiting questionnaire here: Questionnaire

Blue & White Sports esports FAQ

What are Blue & White Sports?
Assumption’s Blue & White Club Sports initiative was created in 2018 to oversee the school's athletics programs that are not participating in the NCAA and aren’t part of The College’s current club sports model. The these new programs will compete at the highest national club level for their respective sport.

Will athletic scholarships be available for Blue & White Sports?
There will be partial athletic scholarships available for every sport at the discretion of head coach Robert Skinnion

Who supervises these teams?
Blue & White Club Sports will be under the umbrella of the Assumption Athletic Department. This will assure they are compliant with all necessary fees and roster restrictions while also allowing the scheduling of complete season schedules against other regional and national opponents.
