Academic Honor Roll Honorees

WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption had a school-record 312 student-athletes named to the Northeast 10 Fall Academic Honor Roll as announced by the conference this week.

The NE10 Academic Honor Roll recognizes any student-athlete playing an NE10 sponsored sport who achieved a GPA of at least a 3.0 this past semester. The Academic Honor Roll includes three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA). Overall 4,077 student-athletes across the NE10 were named to the Academic Honor Roll. The Academic Honor Roll was previous called the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

"I am extremely proud to have a school-record 312 student-athletes earn a spot on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll," said Jamie Marcoux. "Our student-athletes work hard in the classroom and it's important that their success is recognized. I would like to congratulate each of them on this outstanding accomplishment."

Assumption's 312 honorees trailed just Bentley (381) and Merrimack (328) in total honorees. Overall, 58 percent of the College's student-athletes posted a GPA of at least a 3.0 and 20 different teams met that mark as well. The 312 outpaced last fall's previous school record of 310 honorees and this marked the eighth straight semester the athletic department has boasted a cumulative GPA over 3.0.

Individually, 15 student-athletes from nine different teams earned Academic Excellence honors for having a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester. Women's soccer, as well as women's track and field each had three honorees while on the men's side, football and men's track each had a pair.
