Athletics Signs Nike Contract With Kangaroo Crossing

Worcester, Mass. (April 6) -- The Assumption College Department of Athletics has signed a three-year contract extension with Kangaroo Crossing as the department's official Nike apparel and equipment supplier, as announced by Nick Smith, director of athletics.

"We are very happy to announce the extension of our partnership with Kangaroo Crossing and Nike as our official apparel and equipment provider," said Smith. "We appreciate all of their hard work with our student-athletes, coaches and staff and I am excited to continue this long-standing relationship that we have with Kangaroo and Nike."

Kangaroo Crossing, which is located in Worcester, is the oldest Nike Team Dealer in New England and has worked with the Assumption College Department of Athletics for a number of years. As the official Nike provider, Kangaroo Crossing outfits each of the College's 24 intercollegiate athletic programs as the Hounds currently have over 550 student-athletes.

ABOUT ASSUMPTION COLLEGE ATHLETICS
In 2015, Assumption placed third out of 15 institutions in the Northeast-10 Conference President's Cup, which measures overall success of each institution's athletic programs based on regular-season finish in the conference standings. In 2015-2016, the Hounds captured Northeast-10 Conference postseason championships in both football and swimming and diving, while also capturing the league's field hockey regular-season title. In addition to the increased athletic success, the department had an overall student-athlete GPA of over a 3.0 and continues to excel in the community through a variety of service projects.
