Lake Quinsigamond, one of the top rowing venues in the Northeast, serves as the home of Assumption College women’s rowing. The Donahue Rowing Center complex, which houses the Assumption boats and other equipment, is located on N. Quinsigamond Ave. in nearby Shrewsbury, Mass. Opened in 1993 and renovated in 2002 with the addition of additional storage, features six storage bays that include the area in Bay #1 that is utilized by Assumption. The Hounds host a number of competitions throughout the season at the Lake, along with the New England Championship and other major events that are hosted by the Quinsigamond Rowing Association (QRA).
Directions to the Donahue Rowing Center
The Donahue Rowing Center is located at 237 North Quinsigamond Avenue in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. From the Assumption College campus on Salisbury Street in Worcester Massachusetts, take a left out of campus onto Salisbury Street and continue onto Lincoln Street. Merge onto I-290 E via the ramp to Marlboro/Interstate 190 and take exit 22 for Main Street toward Shrewsbury. Turn left onto Main Street, than turn left onto North Quinsigamond Avenue. The Donahue Rowing Center will be on the right.
